Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Family Scam Defense collects, uses, shares, and protects information through this website, early access waitlist, survey, and scam-check forms. The current site is for waitlist collection and product validation, not the full Family Scam Defense app.

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the information you choose to provide: name, email address, who you are protecting, whether your family has had a recent suspicious message or call, biggest scam concern, willingness to pay, and interview interest.

If you submit a suspicious-message check or post-signup survey, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as message text, screenshots, channel, suspicious link, phone number, payment request details, consent acknowledgement, and your description of what happened.

We may also collect basic website and attribution information, such as UTM campaign parameters, pages visited, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, analytics events, advertising identifiers, and logs needed to keep the site secure and working.

How we use information

We use submitted information to confirm early access interest, contact you about Family Scam Defense, understand demand for the family plan, improve our messaging and product direction, review scam-check requests, measure website and advertising performance, prevent spam or abuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use suspicious-message submissions to provide emergency, legal, financial, banking, law-enforcement, or professional advice.

What not to submit

Do not submit banking passwords, Social Security numbers, full payment card numbers, security codes, account PINs, private medical information, or other highly sensitive information through any form on this website.

If you include sensitive details in a suspicious-message check, survey, or optional text field, we may receive and store them as part of your submission until they are deleted.

How we share information

We do not sell form submissions for money. We do not intentionally send your name, email address, suspicious-message text, phone number, optional concern text, or form answers to Meta Pixel.

We may use analytics and advertising tools, including Meta Pixel, to measure website activity, understand campaign performance, and improve advertising. These tools may receive website activity, device, browser, and attribution information. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, this type of disclosure may be considered sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We may share information with service providers that help us host the website, store waitlist submissions, secure the service, send communications, analyze product demand, or operate our business. These providers are only allowed to use the information to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or similar business transaction.

Your privacy choices

You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, or ask us to stop contacting you about early access. Depending on your state, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

You can also opt out of advertising sharing through Meta Pixel in this browser. We treat Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where detected.

To make a privacy request, contact us at privacy@familyscamdefense.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Advertising sharing is on in this browser.

Turning this off prevents Family Scam Defense from loading Meta Pixel for advertising measurement in this browser.

Retention

We keep waitlist, survey, scam-check, attribution, and security information for as long as needed to manage early access, evaluate demand, respond to submissions, contact interested users, maintain business records, and meet legal or security needs. You can ask us to delete information you submitted using the contact details below.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, database, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children and adult use

This website is intended for adults age 18 and older. Family Scam Defense is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

California and U.S. state privacy notice

We collect identifiers, internet or electronic network activity information, commercial interest information, advertising and analytics information, and information you choose to provide in forms. We collect these categories for the purposes described in this policy.

We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. We may share limited website activity information with advertising and analytics partners as described above. You can use the privacy choices on this page to opt out of that advertising sharing in this browser.

Future product submissions

The current website is a waitlist and validation page. Future Family Scam Defense product submissions are intended to be user-controlled. Users should choose what suspicious messages, links, emails, phone numbers, screenshots, or payment requests they want to check or share with trusted family members.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy as Family Scam Defense develops. If we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and provide additional notice when appropriate.
